CONVINCE ME TO BUY A CONNODALE :D

They arent gonna sell many with those price tags.
Better look around. There's quite a few of them on this board actually. I know I'm starting a pi$$ing contest here, but you Raptor guys do have a certain "aire" to you. You're a complex set of people. But hey, to each his own!
jfboy, there should be no convincing about it. Just read around on this forum.

JFboy if I were you sell the Banshee and put all the money into the 400EX or save the money and wait a year or two and see what else comes out. Plus the Cannonale prices will drop hopefully. They arent gonna sell many with those price tags. >>
Well I was selling my banshee cuz I wanted something different for a 2nd machine. But if you read my sig you'll see that it was stolen.
My next machine I want a trick 250R, a stock speed or other C-DALE, or maybe the new zuk but that's a long shot cuz me and my prev suzuki's have had nothing but bad relationships ;D

I wasn't sayin all Raptor owners were d!ickheads, just the ones that I have met in real life were. I guess I broadened what I meant too much. I have noticed alot of people saying that I praise the Cannondale like it's god, and most of the time it sounds like people are complaining about it. If I were praising a Raptor, 400EX, or any other machine, would you be ******* me? PROBABLY NOT! The reason I am praising them is because I have had bad experience with every other manufactuer, except C-Dale and Bomb, but have ridden neither quad, so I guess I shouln't be praising them so much. Another thing I noticed, all of the people who have responded to my posts about Cannondale own a Raptor, and twofiftx, you have been doggin on me for the last week or so because I mention cannondale alot in my posts. Look, I am not trying to start any crap with anyone on this board because most of you have helped me with something or another, I am just staing my opinon, and if you don't like that, tough! Oh by the way, I don't own a 300ex, if you noticed it says "...85 ATC250R..."

Okay, that was stupid. Your Raptor costs $400 less than my Dale and I have ITP wheels, Holeshots all around (even though I don't like them), Ohlins shocks, more power (stock vs. stock), it's lower and it's wider, it has an aluminum frame, EFI, and steel braided brake lines. Also, stock vs. stock, my "over priced" 432cc quad is faster than the "low priced" 660cc quad. So please tell me... why is it that you think the Cannibal is to expensive? Raptor - $6599... C-dale - $6999 w/ everything listed above.

lol, that's funny. Maybe I'll take that as a compliment.

OregonMXracer, I wouldn't say I've been doggin' you, just bringing it to your attention. Cuz' it doesn't matter what forum I'm in, it could be "Land, Trails, and Environmental Issues" and I'll see a post in there from you sayin' that everybody should buy a cdale cuz' it gives off less carbon monoxide while making the corner faster, and you don't even own one. The cdale is a nice quad just curb the enthusiasm a bit.
Anyway, this has gotten way of the subject. I'll stick with my original post on here, "get a cdale instead of another 400ex" or wait and check out the Zuki.

Just another off topic response, I know I have been "enthusiastic" about the C-Dales lately. I am not trying to get everyone to go by one, it just alot of people don't consider purchasing a C-Dale because it is "so expensive" but the way I see it basically like YoDaddy said, you get thousands of dollars worth of accesories that you would normally put on a Raptor,Banshee,400EX or any other quad. I am just trying to get people to recognize them, they aren't overpriced, they aint cheap either, same with a Raptor or Banshee though. Anyway, let's call truce, and leave it alone now!

I bought a Canondale Canibal, it had the ITP holeshots, the ohlins shocks, all the toys. It was very fast, handled awsome and looked great, here is the but, it had a throttle like a light switch (supposedly fixed in the newer builds) and stalled all the time. I traded it back into the smae dealer ship for a brand new Raptor even up. The raptor was a little slower (very little) and didn't have all the extras, but for me it was a better ride. I ride with my kids alot and sometimes like to putt putt around in the trails with them. The canon wanted no part of that. Putt Putting not aloud. It wanted to be ridden hard and fast all the time. If I were to ride mostly at a track there would be no comparison, canon all the way. Just cruising through the woods with tons of tourque and still being able to take it to the track if I wanted was the way to go for me. Granted I put some money into my Raptor to make it what I wanted. Wider axel, elka shocks, pipe and jet kit. If any of you are like me that is half the fun buying new toys and putting them on your new quad to make it perfect for you.
I didn't think the canondale was expensive because you got all the extra's already on the quad. Yet I traded it for a less expensive machine because it was better for me.
You'll really need to try one and think about your type of riding. The raptor was a better all around quad for me. And with my mods is just as fast and handles as good as the canondale. Yet I can still putt putt out in the woods with my kids.

sykoquadrider , your the idiot! Quit ******* Oregon, he's a good guy just trying to participate in some good old dialog. I dont have much to add to this conversation except that the Cannondales are NOT overpriced. I paid exactly the same price that all you raptor riders payed! Not a penny more. 6500 OTD, and that price is available to anyone that pays cash, so if you go to the Yamaha dealer and get a raptor, thats your fault! When you can get a better quad, with better components, and faster for the same price. IT is actually VERY inexpensive if you do the math, but that is where most people get into trouble, they cant add!
