well, the reason dales r gunna hav a hard time in woods is no reverse, but ther r increably light, lighter than a 400, and all that other good stuff about em. most older folks like raptors better, easier matenince, reverse, and lotsa people like the unique look.

Reverse isn't really the problem, the 400ex doesn't have it and it's a great trail quad. The problem w/ the dale on trails is that it doesn't have the low end power needed. Gearing it down would get rid of that problem though. I don't ever ride trails, nothing exciting about it in my opinion, so the dale is perfect for me on the MX track. I've been able to beat every raptor that I've faced.

Ahh, a possibility. However, I would rather have it f'ed up from the smell of Klotz castor than any other smell.

Well, now that I say that... I'm not so sure... Burnt Raptor smells nice too

Whoa crap, with my 1,298th post, I became a "Pro Rider". Wohoo!

I rode my friends raptor and here are my thoughts.
1. Sits too high, I want a quad you sit in not on
2. Back end is too narrow, I think most will agree with me on this
3. Needs a bigger oil tank, You can never go wrong with more oil
4. More low end, seems like the power doesn't come on untill later
Other then this it's a great machine. I just hope they got all the tranny problems figured out for '02. I guess only time will tell.
