The only problem with that theory is that the new Suzuki won't be able to run with a C-Dale. I talked to the Syracuse Honda shop and the Arkport Honda shop that both carry Suzuki as well and they said the machine was designed to be faster than a 400ex but look as cool as a Raptor with out the tippiness in the corners. It's only going to make about 6 more hp at the rear wheels which would be 32 hp and a Dale has 40 while a Raptor has 35. To get it to run with a dale your not only going to have to mod the engine but the a-arms and axle as well if you want it to hang in the corners. A Dale is about 46.5 inches wide and that's the widest pure sports quad out there and it also has one of the lowest seat hieghts which makes it a screamer in the corners. I'll also bet that even the Arvins shocks on the Cannibal are better than the stocks on the new Suzuki which look like 400ex shocks with slightly stiffer springs.

I'm not trying to bash the Suzuki I think it's going to be a sweet quad with a lot of potential but out of the crate it wont hang with a Dale.

I kinda agree will what you said but, somebody, I cant remember who, won with the the suzuki engine in an aftermarket chassis last year, so its already an engine being used occassionaly by certain riders.

Also, most cannondales will be bought by non racers or play racers, I am sure the price difference will come into play so even if the suzuki is close to the cannondale in performance for the average weekend warrior the price difference will be a major factor in deciding between the c'dale and the suzuki.

All new products are going to have"teething"problems...
when you call cannondale you talk to a tech/not a computer
Its made in the USA
Buildable?the pros are on the podiums with STOCK motors...which of the big 4 can say that?
i gotta tell ya its an awesome machine even in stock form....

The C'Dale needs a REVERSE and they will sell twice as many quads(woods rides). The bikes are very quick and with a reverse they could market it as the ultimate "woods" bike as well as the Ultimate MXer.

I cerainly understand people wanting reverse I personally can live with or with out it. I find most of the time it's a luxury not a necessity. Consider also even at the cheaper price your going to have to sink money in to the Suzuki to get it to compete. Even though it has a lower seat hieght than a Raptor it is still narrow like a Raptor. So to get it to run with a Cannibal even is going to take some bucks, probably a little more than the difference in price between the 2 machines.

Ronnn- Doug Gust was the one that had the DRZ dirt bike engine dropped into a 250R frame. He also had it bored out to a 440 and since it is the dirt bike motor, it isn't detuned like the production version will be. I am excited to see the Z400 though. It will look sweet with a little work here and there.

Dirtdiggler- Do you own a Cannondale? The seat height is lower and it is wider than most other quads but the holeshots don't work to good in the corners. They grab so much that they tend to make the quad kind of tippy (or atleast on the MX track).

I DONT THINK ANYTHING BAD WILL BECOME OF THE C-DALES AS LONG AS THE MOTOCROSS WORLD EXISTS. GUYS THAT ARE SERIUOS ABOUT MOTOCROSS AND RACE MOTOCROSS COULDNT ASK FOR A BETTER RACE READY MACHINE THAN THE MOTO 440. THERES NOTHING IN THE MARKET THAT OFFERS RACE READY MACHINES STOCK.(BESIDES A LITTLE REMAPING) TWELVE GRAND DONT SEEM LIKE A HOLE LOT OF MONEY TO ME WHEN YOU SEE SOME OF THE MONEY THAT THESE GUYS PUT INTO THOSE 250rS.(CANNONDALES ARE EXCELLENT ON THE MOTOCROSS TRACKS, BUT I HAVE RAPTOR IN MY BLOOD)
