How long will Cannondale last in this market?

Umm, the new Suzuki is just as wide as the 400EX (that's nearly 2" wider than a Raptor) and has a seat height that's almost an inch lower than the 400EX. When is the last time we heard anyone talk about the 400EX being tippy and not handling well? Never. Suzuki's formula on paper lends itself to even better handling...

I apologize for the width remark I thought the Suzuki was just under 45" wide. My bad, I do think the Suzuki will outperform the 400ex as long as it doesn't turn up any major reliability problems. I don't however think it will run with a Cannondale.

You know what is sad? I bet Cannondale would sell twice as many quads if it had better looking plastic. The rear plastic isn't bad, only the front. I wouldn't mind buying a C-dale, but damn... sure looks like a squished frog to me. Even a blandish-looking 250R style front plastic makes this machine look good (I'm refering to some of the C-dale owners that have set 250R plastic on their machines). I'm surprised that Cannondale boned on the looks as bad as they did. Just my opinion...

I agree with that. I think the C-Dale being the most technologicaly advanced quad on the market should look screaming fast. I think they should take a cue from what some of the modern day crotch rockets look like. Maybe two side by side head lights but have them molded int to the plaste like some of the Yamaha and Honda crotch rockets. I think if the C-Dale looked really cool like a Raptor except with it's own unique "cool" look people would see it and say " I have to have this quad ".

Smitty- It might be that the swing arm pivot point is a little to high compared the location of the sprocket, causing the chain to rest on the slide to much. I don't know, just a thought.
I also agree that the front plastics could have been done better but I still kind of like it. They say it's because of the air filter being right under the front plastics but my gawd... Lonestars 250r plastics would have fit fine with a little work, but it didn't need any work at the air filter area... just the mounts and and the foam seal at the front of the "air box".

I heard they werent going for looks when they designed the c-dale plastic, that it was all about the wind drag when they tunnel tested it, Atleast thats the excuse the local c-dale dealer tells everyone here in town. But I agree, if they made it look a little more sleek they would sale more.( Its got the preformance but lacks the looks, everyone likes to look good when they cross the finish line)
