Opinion on Cannondale

Ryanstones,
Unfortunatly Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, and the Bombs Rotax have been in production for years. When Honda car first came out they talked about the quality and gas milage. I think Cannondale would do better if they not only allow the race bikes to win but also start apealing to the everyday person. The non-believers may always be a non-believer, ask some christians.
For any new product it is important to sell the positive, Cost, tech., performance, whatever and get the everyday person thinking about owning one.
Just my thoughts.

Cannitor,
How does your raptor match up to the Cannondale as far as speed, jumping, trail riding, and maintenance? I rode SparkyEx's Cannibal and was very impressed with the power and handling. Kinda felt like a two stroke with the revability, but was not as taxing to ride. The only thing that would make me feel twice about buying one is the ease of maintenance, and maybe the fact that you have to get the valves done every 25 hours. Bottom line though, they seem to be the best performance machine out now.

first off i agree with yodaddy on the valves, unless you can actually feel a performance dropoff i see no need to adjust the valves every 25 hours(or unless your racing)
1)maint./except for changing a spark plug its pretty straight forward
ichange my oil every 2 rides anyway and as ive said before my wifes
polaris is a much bigger pain in the rear to wrench on
2)trails/if your a good riderand dont mind waiting for everbody you will love the "C" if you trail ride at a slower pace the raptor is more forgiving at slower speeds plus reverse
3)jumps/the lighter the quad the better its going to respond in the air but to be honest they are both excellent flyers.i have bottomed out my raptor but i havent been able to do this on the"C"
4)the quickness of the cannibal caught me so off guard the first time i light it up i jumped off threw my helmet off and screamed its awesome
the stock raptor simply cannot run with this quad.
i am currently adding a piston, cam and swingarm in order to get my raptor to hopefully outrun my cannibal
the raptor is most likely a better OVERALL choice for the average consumer
and i love my raptor but.............who wants to be average.
get one of each...

Great post/comparison, Cannitor. While I don't think the Raptor is the best choice for the average consumer, I agree that the 'c' aint it either. Cannondale is right on with their marketing toward the high performance/competition crowd. Their machines are not for everybody.
