Well not really, it was literally a dream last night, but the most realistic dream i think I have ever had. I just got a new Speed(in my dream of course) and was ripping around muddy trails, sand dunes, and whatever, having a great time. Wheelying out of corners, electric start. Telling my friends that they havent seen anything yet, just wait until I get it remapped! Even gave the Banshee to my girlfriend, cause I wasnt going to need it anymore(in her dreams!!!)Man, I cant describe how much fun I was having, in my dream of course. I HAVE TO GET A CANNONDALE!! You know haw you have a dream that is so realistic, its kinda scary, well this was one of them. Tried going back to sleep so I could get back on my new Speed!!!!Didnt happen, guess I better buy one ASAP. YOu guys are lucky to be living my dream... one day. Day dreaming all day now!!!!

I know what you mean. In my dream I walked out to the Speed that I already own and the frame was polished to perfection. Very real.

So I get up walk out to the garage and there she sits. Subframe off and only half polished. Front bumper is done, rear grab bar done.

Still working on it, aaahhhhhhhhhh.

I thought I was going crazy with quad withdrawls when I have dreams of quads, guess I'm not the only one. Some are actually nightmares, every time I talk trash about a Raptor, they come back to haunt me in my dreams[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img] I think I'm going nuts.

Smitty, sounds like you like to polish your quad more than ride it, whats up with that?

 

haha i used to have those kind of dreams all the time. every night actually. when i still had my LT i wanted a 400ex so bad and i used to dream about getting one. then i wanted a ds650 and i used to dream about those too and it was hard to fall alseep cuz thats all i could think about. then it was the raptor. then after my lt got stolen i started dreaming i had a 400ex all the time again. i remember one dream very clearly. i was ridin my 400 and i did a heel clicker off this jump and impressed this girl i really like in real life and then she liked me after that. kinda corny i know but hey it happened. i'm a freak lol but thats ok i guess

 

smitty 911, If you are using Mothers for your polish, try a polish named Heavy Metal. Gives just as good a finish but only takes half the elbow grease as Mothers. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

Polishing is a huge job and my friends think I'm nuts. They haven't seen it yet.

Right now I'm using a metal finishing wheel on my 4 1/2" grinder. That is the fastest way to get rid of the extrusion marks on the bars. I also am using one on a drill to smooth the welds so they blend alittle better.

I have the subframe done the front bumper and Hand Grab bar done, the look great. Part of the frame rails are close. I'll have to find some of the Heavy Metal stuff to try.

I'll post pictures as soon as I find out how.

Later, off to polish. I have more time on the polisher than the bike.

I had to dig up this post again. Lst night I had a dream I just got an FX400, was at my first race and smoked everyone off the line, then hit a big double and slammed into a brick wall. I think I need to have my dream analyzed, I saw someone do it on T.V the other day.
