Does anyone else have any kind of trouble getting the gas cap on right on their cannibal? I can't get mine on right. It's either towards on side or the other, and sometimes some gas gets out onto the plastic.

make sure you aren't twisting the black vent tube or that makes it hard to put on, i wind mine backwards before i put it on.

I have the same problem as you Mxracer98. I have found that pushing down on it while you tighten it helps. I still leaks on to the plastic sometimes though depending on how much gas is in it. Hope that is not bad for the plastic. I have more of a problem getting the oil dipstick on right. It is a real pain in the a$$ on my quad. Anybody else have the dipstick problem?

My new speed has bad threads on the tank. You can screw it down so far and it will pop and be loose.I already swaped my dealer gas caps from another cannon it still does it.They ordered me a new tank,In the mean time I have electrick tape wraped around the threads for now
that keeps it tight and no leaks.

My tank also leaks around the cap. I figured the gas was just sloshing around and coming out around the cap. I never had this occur with any other machine, but just thought I was riding the Moto a little harder and it was normal. Does anyone know whether or not a little spillage is normal?

I too have the same problem, you have to mess with it to get it to screw on straight, kind of a pain!! It's a good thing they don't drink much gas. Sounds like the resolution is a new gas tank.

I have to push down on my gas cap a little and then it tightens just fine. I don't have any problems w/ gas leaking out. The only thing that annoys me is when the vent hose twists and when you let go of the cap when your tightening, the hose makes it twist loose again (it was more of a problem on my old 300ex though)... did that make any sence?
