I've done 5 oil changes so far and on my 4th one I decided to check out the inlet screen filter thing and it was as clean as it ever could be. I figured it would atleast have a little something on it but it was TOTALLY CLEAN. So my question is... whats the point of it being there if it doesn't get dirty? Has anyone had one that was dirty? If so, how many hours do you have on your quad?

The point may be that if you handgranade the motor any large parts may get cought there instead of back into the motor. Best guess. If the motor dies, and the parts are pushed under pressure though the system wouldn't they settle in the frame rails? I don't know how the oil system is plummed, but it could save a few parts.

It is a pain to get at and will be way down on my list of things to check.
