I am trying to make up my mind about giving my Raptor to my Fiance and getting a Cannondale or keeping the Raptor and buying her a Raptor. Well heres my biggest worry. I am a guy who loves torque. Is it true in the ATV Action test of the speed and others that the Cannondales cant be lugged? They say "they wont lug but if you slip the clutch and up the rpm's they pull like a linebacker." My deal is that if i wanted a nonlugging revhappy quad i would still have 2-strokes. Your guys help would be greatly appreciated.

Haven't had any problems so far. Although I don't have alot of hours on my bike yet. I ride hard pack with kids and I can be a gear to high and going slow and just get on it and it takes off.

riders perceptions of power are so different it' hard to get on the same page describing power delivery.
Initially, my cannibal was tight and would kill, in gear at idle speed. Last weekend i really tested her and found that it would lug along in 1-2 with only minimal throttle, even uphill. Hit the gas from there and no hesitation, bam! all the way to redline. you definitely need to ride one. Most dealers have demos now i think.

I owned a Raptor and now the Cannondale. I would say the Cannondale can be lugged more than the Raptor. One thing on the Raptor is the Flywheel so so light as soon as you start to lug it it just dies and sounds like something in your motor broke! The Cannondale feels pretty much the same maybe slightly better. The cannondale feels pretty much the same as the raptor when you feel the motor start to chug then you punch the gas the front wheels will come off the ground in up to 3rd gear.

i have both and i agree with the test results
the raptor is a quad that goes fast but doesnt mind trail riding with your girlfriend at a slower pace
the"C"just begs to be ridden hard and you will find yourself in the throttle a lot more leaving your girlfriend pi..ed off at you for roosting her.
the raptor has a more plush slow speed ride as well
the cannibals ohlins shocks will reward a more aggresive rider, they really sing
when you get up to a good clip

Well that definatley sounds like what i am looking for. I ride aggressively most of the time. The only time i go slow is when i am waiting for my buddies to catch up or giving my kids a ride around the yard. My Fiance rides fast. Shes not the average girl. She is faster than most of my friends on the trails. And can kinda keep up on the motocross track. Well thanks for the help guys. I think now my mind is made up. I'll let you know how it is when i pick it up. Not quite sure if i am going to get the cannibal they have sitting there or wait 3 weeks for the speed. Well guess it depends on what kind of deal i can get on it. Thanks again
