So you're selling the Cannibal to get away from all the maintenance they require and buying a CRF450? Hope you like replacing pistons, because Honda is now recommending piston swap after every 10 hours on this bike!!

my friend's 1997 rm250 recommends a rebuild about every 25 hours and he rides it every weekend and it does fine. he may do his first in a couple monthes.

Corndog what are you smoking?? Your just a follower, when ever you find something else that you think is better you go and promote it. Of course if corndog says it'll beat a cannondale, it's gotta be true he cant be wrong. Plus its a Honda of course they say it'll put out 55 hp but how much does it really put out? Probaly 40 at most and in a quad probaly 35 and it wont beat a cannondale, I know ive raced a 450f quad.

????? we must not be talking about the same quad cause the guys at thumpertalk claim they like their cdale dirtbikes even though they aren't nearly as fast as a crf. you have no idea what you are talking about.

How many times have you told us that? It's almost like you thought everyone was talkin to you right before you saidn that. To be honest, we don't care corndog. >>

CornDog, I doubt that the CRF is faster than a C-Dale, maybe 10 MPH. From my personal experience with dirtbikes raced against quads, and trikes, the dirtbikes aren't faster and most of the time slower. I had a 1990 CR250 2 yeasr ago with literally every mod imaginable except a big bore, and my Uncle owned my ATC at the time. Being the 13 year old punk that I was, I thought I would smoke him in a drag race. Too my surprise, I got my *** handed to me. I then sold the CR to go back to quads, but ended up with my Uncles ATC, and I raced the CR again(sold to meighbor), and the ATC is still faster. My friend just brought over his new CR250, and I'll admit it's fast, but I don't think it is any faster than a similar modded 250 2 stroke or a mapped/piped Cannondale. Quads, and trikes get more traction usually and thus go faster, rather than spinning the tires wildly like a dirtbike does, usually. By the way, I hope you do get the CRF, that way you can flip it every which way, because when these bikes hook up, you're screwed uness you know what you're doing(I learned the hard way) so go sell your Dale and get your CRF. A little FYI, that 55 HP is at the crank, how much of that gets to the ground, I dunno. I'll give you some useful info, buy the metal Bark busters unless you like begging mommy and daddy for levers every week.

my friend's dad was on my cannibal and he raced a piped yz250 and it would kill him every time. i could beat his stock rm250 on my cannibal though, and i beat an old kx250. a crf450 is way faster than a cannibal, it will not even be close. a crf450 will spank all the cdale dirtbikes or at least that is what the cdale owners at thumpertalk say.
