Cannibal gearing
#11
I think I'll be at the factory on tuesday so I'll check what their shipping with. I decided to spec the 14/40 ratio on the Moto after doing some testing with Tim and Ben in Georgia. It should be a 14/40, but maybe for some reason manufacturing changed the spec.

Gearing???? I swear to God they left neutral gear out of my C'

I know what you mean, I sometimes have to turn my Cannibal off to get it into neutral, especially with boots on. Of course the one positive thing is you rarely misshift into neutral when going from 1st to 2nd.

Im gonna put 18's on my cannibal, would it matter if I went one tooth more on the engine sprocket or should I go a tooth less on the rear sprocket, I just want the power to be as before with the 20-holeshots.

<< Keep in mind, one tooth on the drive sprocket is equivalent to 3 teeth on the rear sprocket. I would not do anything and see how you like the feel of the quad after you install the 18's. >>
Brian, I believe it's one tooth up front = 2 teeth on back.
I was thinkin the same thing, mxracer98, if I get 18's, what would I need to change my gearing to in order to have it the same as 20 in. tires? I like the way mine is geared right now because I know exactly what gear I need to be in in order to make certain jumps.

I am running my speed with 18"terf tamers with stock sprockets.I like the way the gearing feels. It launches 2gear hole shots with no problem. In most turns I can do in third gear except the tight 90's I do in 2nd gear.I wanted to go up 2 teeth on the rear to see if that will keep the front down some, but I think it will be the same because I probley will have to run a gear lower in turns that I am doing in 3rd and still have the front come up because im in a lower gear.

No....going UP teeth in the back will raise the ratio...
You'll be doing 3rd gear starts then....

Thanks for the info,I realy have no clue when it comes to gearing.
I think I will stick with the stock gears and 18"Tamers.It feels like a good combo for mx.
