Is the fuel line in the gas tank on the quad like on the motorbike? I'm hoping not. Friend of mine almost died over the weekend...the line slipped off the fitting while he was aproaching a jump! There wasn't a hoseclamp or anything holding the hose on. So he added a clamp.

Just wanted to give a heads-up to everyone. I don't have the quad here yet to check on the hose.

It should definitely have a hose clamp on the fuel line, mine does. Maybe the hose clamp got loose and fell off earlier and then the fuel line worked it's way loose. That will certainly be another item I will check consistently to see if it's loose!! Thanks for the heads up!

Vito,
Thanks for the heads up, mine was fine. I have only had time to do the break-in ride and change the top/bottom end oils, but the impression I got on the break-in ride was a huge grin! I had a hard time keeping the front end down through 4th gear, loved how you could build 2-stroke type speed and revs in a short jump approach. JIM

I just called him to tell him to drain his tank, the clamp is in there!
He just bought a new tank....I guess some of the tanks have the petcock on the bottom of the tank towards the back? That's def. a better setup. Kinda dumb to have the hose go through the tank.

SWEET!!! I can't wait til Thursday Jim! I'm going to St Clairsville this weekend, so that'll be my first ride. Mine is coming already broken in, so I can just ride. First ride on a GNCC course....this is gonna be interesting!

Give 'em hell, Vito! Is Ray going with you? I am anxious to hear how his modded EX compares. Let me know how that Blaze mapping does with your Big Gun....are you changing out your gearing too? My Speed has a 42 tooth rear sprocket if I am not mistaken.........JIM

No, I'll be riding with Scott and EXtreme and his crew. Ray is on baby watch. Should be any day now! Steve was off to GT Thunder for a rebuild last week, so I should still be able to get an idea of how she compares. I'm gonna give her hell! I can't wait to see what this thing can do.

I'm kinda worried about the Big Gun now. I'm hoping my quad doesn't have the square silencer on it. No one makes a pipe yet that will bolt up to the 2 headpipe design. Just might end up with the Speed Mapping and the stock silencer for now. The shop is closed today, so I can't find out til Tuesday. He has the money for a pipe, so either way I'll have a pipe sooner or later. Big Gun was working on the 2 headpipe design....

I thought FMF had the header pipe for the C'dales. On the Moto, is that the stock header pipe that is on our Cannibal's and Speed's or is that from FMF? For some reason I thought the Moto had a completely new FMF exhaust system, including the header pipe, maybe not.

I asked FMF about the pipe...and it's not yet available to the public. A Italian company makes the new toaster silencers if I'm not mistaken.

I'd hate to be a parts guy for Cannondale....they've made alot of changes to this years model alone. that'd be a headache trying to sort that out.

They are ramping up to go on a massive Moto/Blaze production....tried to get number plates and the ignition switch holder from the dealer and Cannondale isn't releasing any Moto/Blaze parts at this time. They need all the parts they currently have in inventory. Looks like I'll have to ziptie the key to the bars for a month or so....

I'LL FINALLY HAVE THE QUAD ON THURSDAY!
