OK,Im thinking about buying a c-dale, I just wanted to know whats the retail on one of those?? Whats the best out of the c-dales? CCs and all of that handleing ect ect. What do they use in the races?? Cannibal? Moto? Blaze? And um what
maintenance do they require anything extra besides oil change and all that?? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,

Check out www.R&SPerformance.net for the retail prices. The c'dales have a cassette type transmission, just like your automobile so it has
a separate housing with it's own oil and filter so that filter will need cleaned (reuseable filter) as well as the crankcase oil and filter. Of course clean the air filter but other than the transmission oil and filter, the c'dales are no different than any other quad in regards to maintenance. It's EFI so you don't have to worry about rejetting carbs. What's the best out of the c'dales, well for mx it's the moto, for gnc it's the blaze. For just playing around and rec riding, the cannibal and the speed are. Cannondale is offering a refubished program on the Cannibals right now, price is around $5000 if you can find a participating dealer. That will get you a new motor, new plastic, new computer, etc., with a full 6 month warranty. If you can't find or not interested in the refurbished program, if you can find one of the "older" cannibals with the ohlin shocks and the ECM1000 computer, it will be the best value of all the quads. Although the ohlin shocks are getting harder to find on the cannibals, they are now shipping the cannibal with arvin shocks.
Oh, and the CC's is the same on all the quads, they are all the same motors but the engine maps are different. The Cannibal has a 10600 rev limit and the speed and other 2 have 11600.

Hey brian thanxs 4 the info,I'll prob be getting a cannibal maybe a speed. Do they show you all this stuff in the owners manual?? Are you saying it has transmission fluid? hmmm I wonder why more people dont have dales. Your saying it has a cassette like transmission,so it still shifts like a normal quad tho right?

PS-No mods?? Why the hell not???

Yeah, they do a pretty good job in the manual. There's also a strickly engine manual you can print off on the cannondale website. Yep, it has a seperate area for the tranny fluid. But it's 85w gear oil. Yep, still shifts like a regular quad. It is kinda tricky to find neutral at a dead stop, I found it alot easier to click it into neutral while I'm rolling to a stop.
I would recommend the Big Gun Exhaust with the Blaze mapping. Real nice power gains!
