Yes the head pipe is different. The dual pipes are longer but still go into one before going into the silencer. Does that make sense?? I had Mark (Atv Addiction) call HMF today and they said it will be a few weeks before the new silencers are ready. They will also have the anodized colors such as red, yellow, and black ect. as they did before.

This still doesn't solve anything.

Is this a headerpipe that Cannondale has just started using when it upgraded to the square silencer??

Why is it that the square silencer replaces the older version with no problems??

They must have two different square silencers. One for the old pipe and one for the new pipe??????

I will have to check into this as well tomorrow. Not to mention having to cancel a stock order with HMF if it's true.
I placed my order with HMF last Thursday and wasn't told anything about a new design. What really bites is that neither did Cannondale!!!

IF you look at the bulletin, it states "used with header #6000768, the part number for the header with the round silencer is part number 6000213.

If you go to http://www.cannondale.com/motorsport...df/6001131.pdf
you can see a good pic of the header. The new header with the square silencer appears to be like the header on the Blaze and Moto as stated here. Alot longer. It seems the square silencer is tilted more on the quad also. Is this true?

Well, there you have it. Thanks for the heads up James. I never catched the part number differences shown there on the site.

We received that bulletin two weeks ago and I could swear that I never saw part numbers for the headers shown.

I think they changed it today....j/k..

Well...mystery solved.

Sorry I am a little slow :-)

If I have the new square silencer, do I have the same header as the moto/blaze.

Is this where the perfomance gains come with the square one that I have heard over the round one.

OK I get it now, there is a whole new part number to the headers that come with the square silencer... Right?

Where is the service bulletin for the pipe splitting, I can't seem to find it, is it hidden inside another bulletin?

Are the aftermarket companies going to have to make three different silencers for the cannondale's...
1) New style header for the square silencer on cannibal/speed
2) Old style header for the round silencer on cannibal/speed
3) Header for the fmf titanium silencer on the blaze/moto

Sounds like a lot of work to figure out what aftermarket silencer will fit

Well if in fact the header pipe is the same as the moto's, that's a good thing!! Now you can buy the FMF silencer, the same one that is on the moto. I'd prefer it over the HMF anyway, it's not near as loud !

No, I don't think it's exactly the same. It does resemble it though....it might work.
