KNOWSALOT V/S BANJO BOLT
#11
The Banjo bolt I'm guessing as the culprit, would be the one you remove to drain the engine oil on the right case.
Now, do the holes have to line up with anything once the bolt is torqued down? Could you guys be torqing the bolt down too much, and causing the holes not to line up? Or are the washers worn out and shorter from tightening the bolt down? This would cause poor alignment, resulting in higher oil pressure. I might be wrong, but I'd check it out.

Guys I took my biketo the dealer yesterday. There were very few motors that have this problem and most of you on this forum have the new motor. MY cannibal was one of the FIRST ones off the production line. #24 so it was in the first week or so and it had the old FX engine in it. I have talked with Cannondale and my dealer and my dealer is really good. IF you havent had the problem or just had it once there is no need for concern. My engine was leaking oil while idleing and running and considerable amounts. Thats differnt than a little engine oil heating up and comming our of the blow by tube that runs to the airbox, that is actually the design. YOu can pull that tube and look in it, some of them have a little glue that blocks the hole of the tube and creates pressure. YOu can just scrape the glue out and your problem is solved, the engine itself is solid.

yea, and there is another tube that cannondale27 talked about that runs down the right frame spar, that is the one that has the holes drilled or whatever on it. There should be two holes I think, but I may be wrong. We never talked about that with cvannondale or the dealer.

Kyle called me back on said, he talked to mark at cannondale and that the bolt where you change your oil should have 2 holes in it and that there are two of the same in the air box. He also said that the hose by the cam cover- they apoxied it and he has seen apoxy in the hose there and too check that too.
