I have gotten the impresion that the C-Dale has a power band similar to a 2-stroker. I asume it is also weak on bottom end torque. People are also stateing that the Z is weak off the bottom.

To cut out all variables, lets say the Z and C-D are governed at 2500rpm, which would pull the best?

Not trying to compare the 2 quads, just trying to get an idea of the power difrerance of the 2 for my own applications.

Thanks for straight up responses

Well, the Z is one helluva good quad, but I'll put it this way. When I ride the Dale in the sand, it pulls just a little stronger than the Z did when i was riding the Z on the road next to the dealership. So in other words, the Dale still felt like it had a stronger pull than the Z even when the Z had much better traction. Don't get me wrong... I think the Z is an awesome quad and I would buy one in a heartbeat if there wasn't any Cannondales. The Z400 wasn't broken in and I hear they are pretty choked up in stock form. I would like to see a comparison of all the hi-per quads w/ similar pipes and similar amount of air intake, and same tires.

Oh, and my comparison wasn't a "side by side" comparison. It just goes to thinking back.

Being that the idle is higher on the Cannondales if you touch the gas your over your preset limit. I haven't ridden a Z yet, but saw one at the dealership. Nice looking in person.

I dont know about a stock dale, But mines a Holeshot Monster. Its got the moto map.The z's got good bottom end to, the stock tires grip better than my 18 holeshots do, So I spin and the take off, when I grip WATCH OUT!!!!! I'm gone.

When me and my brother do any type of drag race it's always a second gear roll on through the gears on pavement. This takes out rider error and traction issues. The C-Dale will pull the Z but not by as much as you'd think. The Dale has alot of everything. The Z lacks low end period....On a mx track the Z's handicapp would be zero to slight in my opinion as mid and top are more the norm......Though I haven't seen any yet, the Z should have no problems handling Raptors on a track. My brother and I are coming off of Raptors. Top speed and brute force don't guarantee a win on a track if riders are of two equals. Good luck...

I pulled my brother's z by 4-5 lengths in a 100-150 yard race. I beat a 440ex by 2-3 lengths
