My ground wires at the fuel reg. backed out after about 3-5 hours of riding a caused my stalling problem. They appeared to be tight when viewed but when i grabbed ahold of them they were VERY loose.

Is your fuel filter installed correctly(mine was backwards from the factory)
is the fuel line rerouted from the fuel pump as per the update?

My Cannibal is currently in the shop for the battery problem. They are changing out the rectifyer regulator. Supposedly this will solve my problem. Lets hope so.

NRATH,

Let me know if your going to make the trip to a dealer, I need the update as well and we could ride together. There is a new dealer in Newport News, closer than Durham.

I'm thinking about getting the PC kit, anyone know if the $300 kit will work to update the ECU, or will it only load maps?

I'll go ahead and thank all you guys for your input on my bro NRATH's problems. Lots of good input here!
He just left for a 12 hour overnite home and has an appt tomorrow with some dealer in VA tomorrow. I don't think he's likely to make it any farther than his bed though! His Cannibal is sweet! Looks to me like brand new except maybe a used gas tank and a new FX400 seat. yea, kinda hard. Once he gets the bugs worked out he'll be happy i'm sure. After his quit yesterday I let him ride mine and he was pretty stoked at what a broke in 'dale runs and handles like. Course, i was still kickin his a$$ on my warrior. Guess he was mad cause he broke my clutch cable!! Might have been frayed in my rollover 1/2 hour before though.hahaha.
Thanks guys, we got a great forum here. Rock on Cannondale!

Alright, I made it home! And the dale follwed me all the way here! I didn't even think about seeing how far it would go without the straps(since it's insured). I stopped by Triangle Cycles in Durham and told him my problems. He pulled the bike immediately into the shop(I was appreciating that 14 hours into my 12 hour trip) and hooke it to the 'puter. He said I had an old map and loaded the latest. Said there was nothing he could do for my "claim" of a dying battery since everything appeared good at the time. I had charged it before leaving FL. I rode it for about an hour when I got home- an 18 hour road trip can't keep a quad crazy guy down!! Disappointingly, it shut off once. At the end, the battery did keep the voltage up, though. I'm going to wait until I get a couple more hours on it and see what happens. Hopefully the battery will stay up and the charging problem will have magically disappeared, but I'm not holding my breath. I printed out all the replies and will check all that out next time I get a few minutes alone with my baby in the garage. Does anyone know of a specific check for the rectifier- continuity, resistance, how do you check it???

Till I ride a bit, my fingers are crossed. It irritates the hell out of me to have these problems with a brand new machine. I had to be towed back to the truck on a dead machine my first 2 rides!! The worst part is that one time was by a Yamaha!!! I had Yamaha roost all over the front of my brand new 'Dale!!!! There's an emotional scar right there!!! LOL!! That just can't be stood for! Hopefully it won't last long so I won't be disappointed. Come on Cannondale, step up to the plate and tell me what's wrong with this thing- it's obviously not an isolated incident. I'm no idiot, tell me what to look at. 2 hour trips to the dealer will get old real quick.
As for the battery-it says sealed and it means it- you can't add fluid or remove caps(like on my Yamaha). There is a section across the top that can be removed, but you're breaking plastic to do it, so don't.
I'll keep you guys posted with updates.
