I have the dyno reading on my computer at work. 51hp with the Big Gun on the old FX400. Now it's nearly 53hp at the crank with the Moto Mapping and the Race Series slip-on on the new engines.

I called everyone one day at work. Took awhile, but I found all my answers......yeah, I have too much time on my hands. :-)

has anyone seen the exhaust on the new cannondales. they have a rectangular muffler. i brought mine in for mapping and they noticed my exhaust had cracked. they are replacing it under warranty but it is butt ugly. i called cannondale and told them so. the rep claimed the new style is more durable and offers a slight increase in horsepower. maybe he is right but it isssssssssss ugly!

Jcv - Have you experienced any discoloring w/ the Big Gun exhaust. I have heard a lot of complaints about the pipes getting really ugly and discolored on the DS's.

Yo,

My pipe is fine. They have started ceramic coating all of their pipes now, maybe the DS pipe was an older one. I do shine it up with aluminum cleaner after every ride/wash. Maybe that's helping.

JCV- if you don't mind me askin, how much does the big gun slip on cost and is it loud? I pretty much do all my riding on the track and I want a pipe that will get all the spectators attention ... Loud is good in my opinion, but is there a quiet core insert or something for when I do go riding at some public area?

FYI
Here is what Trinity told me today:

"We are working on a new pipe and map for the Cannondales please have
patients we want to make sure we put out only the best products and that
means extra testing. We will be releasing our pipe and mapping kit soon so
hold on. We are also making all kinds of billet products that we will have
for the bikes. We are slated for release of the pipe on July 12 This will be
a full pipe, the pipe will be polished stainless steel with billet hardware
and aluminum silencer. The pipe will come complete with it's own custom
Trinity Stage IV Map."
