would it be best to change the gearing
#1
How does the moto map affect the taller gearing on the cannibals and speeds. Will it still try to pull the hardest of the four maps? I'm thinking it will. Here's what I'm trying say. Technically speaking if you were to drag a speed against the moto with both having everything identical (as far as power goes) which would win? I'm thinking the moto would win the hole shot but the speed may catch up in the long run due to the taller gearing. My question is how does the speed do with the moto map without changing the gearing? would it be faster with the moto gearing? Just something I was thinking about today. Jared

As far as I know the moto has taller gearing than the speed and should be faster than speed on top end not counting tire size the question should be.Same tires, gearing which is fastest on and getting to top speed the moto or the speed map?

I see what you mean, but I would think that the moto would have shorter gears so that you would have more bottom end with the same amount of power, right??? What you came up with is a good question too. With everything the same, (tires and gearing) which map would reach the top end the fastest? The only problem with that senario is that mapping is cheaper than sprockets, so which map would send the bike to the top the fastest. I'm thinking the moto would reach it's top end faster than the speed but I think that the speed would actually reach a higher mph. I'm betting the speed would out-run the motto in a drag race with the same size tires, keep the original gearing the same, but have the motto map on the speed. Has anyone raced with this senario?
