Haven't had any trouble out of mine.... What system does he have? The MC500 or MC1000 - if it's got two buttons (green and red) on the left handlebars, he's got the MC500 - if he's got a small green start button and a slide switch for on/off, he's got the MC1000.

If he's having that much trouble with it, why doesn't he have c-dale replace the ECU?

One guy I know had the Fuel Pump go on him. They're still the best thing out there. So some have had some trouble, it's no big deal. Cannondale replaces most parts for free as long as your in the warranty period.....

It's either 3 or 6 months. Even after the warranty, Cannondale is real good about replacing faulty parts. I haven't seen a company this dedicated to their product yet. They make Saturn look like Acme toy company.

I've got the old '500' EFI system and have nearly 200 hours over 8 months. NOT ONE PROBLEM.
I wish i could say the same for my yamaha's!

I will learn more about HIS when see him next..I did not look into his problem ....he said " let dealer fix under warranty contract"..could have been a simple fix.

A GOOD thing...the dealer was kind enough to give him another C-dale til it was straightened out...that is good relations, service. He was able to go
get the other & return to track for more riding .
