CannonDale ball joints
#11
Hello,
I am still waiting for Ricky Stator to send me the tie rods and ends to see if they work or not. I shot him an email last night to see if they were sent yet, but it is hard to get on his case being that he offered them to me for free to try out....pretty damn nice of him. I have unacceptable tie rod end and ball joint slop. At least to me, but I don't seem to notice it on the MX track we ride, it is pretty rough anyways. Ricky Stator is sending the Honda TRX style tie rods/ends, which seem much better to me, I am hoping they work........JIM

I was aware of possible premature tie rod end failure so I was really watching out for it.A little play in the bars kept increasing with each ride.Turns out when I noticed the play was really coming from the steering shaft the damn stop plate was pulled apart at one of the bolt holes and had worked into an egg shaped figure.Am planning trip to Bedford tomorrow to see if I can get a new one for the weekend's ride. It's something else to look out for.By the way I did bang a small tree pretty hard last Sunday so I'm not blaming Cannondale.Chacking the spark plug was fun.
