GP Control Software ?

Got the diag kit a few days ago and finally got it registered this afternoon. When I hook up to my Speed and try and do anything I get an "Invalid Password" message. Anyone seen this? It looks like the dealer may have password protected the ECU.

JayBR,
My understanding of what they did was encode the software so that it reads information from the quad/bike and the software can only be used on two of ECU's. There should be a way to enter the ecu information during the registration.
I haven't purchased it yet, but that is what I've read. Hope it helps.

contact gp control friday and they will help with the software problem
encription programs get funny if you don't install them just right and the manufacture will tell you the little problems they have with there programs usualy some thing simple.

The software will only work with one ECU unless you purchase additional licenses. In order for the software to work, you have to call GP and give them your serial number from your ECU and the serial number of the software and they give you a registration number specific for your ECU. I did all that Wednesday afternoon and entered all the info into the program. The program runs fine with no errors until I try and talk to my ECU and it fails. It looks like the registration number they gave me is wrong for my ECU serial number or maybe there is a password encoded in my ECU. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what's up.
