I got a Q. for those of you that have had the cannibal map and now run the moto or Blaze map, do you see a real increase in speed and power? is it substantual? IM hoping it is or there is no reason to get the software in my opinion. Isnt ther only so much you can do before you really need internal engine mods and cams and and and and??
thanks

There are 3 main differences in the Moto and Cannibal maps -
The Cannibal Rev limit is 10,800 - the Moto/Speed/Blaze are 11,500. The CDale bikes are 11,800
The other two differences are in the fueling maps and ignition maps.
Fuel is leaned out a bit for the Moto across most of the map, it's richer in a couple places.
Ignition timing is also toned down in most of the Moto map. There are a few areas where it's increased.
You're right, there's only so much you can do before making "real" mods. The fuel injection is all about tuning in the engine to what it wants -- if it's very far off, there can be lots to be gained, if it's not, you won't gain much at all.
I haven't run the two maps, so I can't attest to the power differences, but there's the data for you.
If you're not planning on playing around with the engine and tuning, the $300 kit's not worth it, just have someone upload a map into your ECM when you pipe and be done with it.

There are only two real differences in the Moto and Blaze maps.
First and foremost is the Accel transient - less repsonse across the board for the Blaze.
The 2nd difference is there's a lot of ignition timing advance pulled out in the 1/4 throttle range between 2200RPM and 5000RPM on the Blaze to further tone down throttle response in areas of the power curve where you will be doing technical trail riding.
Fueling maps are identical for all intents and purposes.

Yes, the only difference in the Speed and Cannibal mapping is the Rev Limit.
Put a pipe on it, give it the Moto mapping and you've got Moto performance. The compression, cams, and everything else are the same. The stock Cannibal and Speed pipes are very restrictive like any other OEM pipe. The Blaze and Moto come with an aftermarket pipe from the factory.
To change calibration files you need the GP Control setup, unless you can talk the dealer into uploading the map for you for free (He should, heck, it only takes a minute and you did buy a quad from him)......

Yeah, that's horse$hit. He's trying to charge you for the computer system he had to buy to run the software.....there's a dealer over here trying the same crap. I asked him why I would be charged 2 1/2 hrs of labor for a 15 min job? He didn't like that one! Went on a tantrum trying to tell me he has $12,000 of testing equipment.....just for Cannondale! lol I told him a $800 Walmart Computer and a $1300 GP diagnostic kit from Cannondale doesn't add up to $12,000!
Boy did I hit a nerve that day. The next line out of his mouth, I can't work on your quad anyway! You have a Big Gun Exhaust, and you need the fuel mapping from Big Gun! I tried to explain to him that the Blaze mapping would be fine....but he wasn't buying it. So I packed up my laughs, and headed on out of there.
