What are some things I can get rid of to save weight on my quad? So far, I think I've shedded a total weight of 2 pounds by shaving the fenders, getting rid of the swing arm skids, aluminum handle bars, and switchin over to 18" Turf Tamers. I know it doesn't make a huge difference but every little bit counts.

So what could I get rid of or replace?

P.S. I don't have money for a new exhaust yet.

Get the titanium axle, platinum gas cap bearings, teflon coated muffler seals, some new power bands(I prefer red), and a new power valve gasket.

FAT!!

Not saying that you are overweight but this is an often overlooked area to shed a few pounds. Why spend hundreds (or even thousands) on billet aluminum and carbon fiber parts to save 5, 10, or 15 pounds on the machine's weight? Most of us could stand to lose 5 or ten pounds (or more) from our bodies and it doesn't cost a thing. Remember the power to weight ratio argument of the Cannondales? Well, think about it - it's TOTAL WEIGHT (quad and rider) and not just the weight of the machine alone.

I think R&S should start selling Slim-Fast as a power & acceleration booster.

If you buy beadlocks, get the Hiper carbon fiber ones, alot lighter and stronger than steel.

LOL, I'm 6'1" and only weigh about 150 lbs. Anyone that has ever met me, can tell you that I don't need to lose weight... if anything, I need to gain it.

You might be a motocrosser if... you don't want to gain weight because it might slow you down.

Depends on what kind of weight. Muscle will make you faster, and fat will make you.. big air resistant. And we all know how much I like to sky my Sportsman out

I could afford to either lose 40 lbs or spend the thousands to get more HP. Be back in a minute Pizza Huts here.

It is not fat. It is a tank for beer storage. And mine can hold a KEG.

Since those Cannons are so tough, you should lose the fluids. That would save some weight.lol

ROD - Hehe... half of the fluids leak out of it during the race anyways .

Screw it... I'll just leave it be. I rode on my friends 440ex and that thing flat out felt HEAVY! I had to pull up on the front so much to keep it going straight in the air. Maybe it's just because I'm not used to it, but my Cannondale feels SO MUCH better in the air. So I'm not to worried about the weight issue anymore... I just figured I would ask.
