has anyone had any luck going past just putting exhaust and a re-map in their C-dales? i.e. big bore, stroker, head mods, camshaft. It seems that the YZ450 and CRF450 still have plenty more horsepower.(near 50hp!)The C-dales are still trying to hit the mid forties.

I think Walsh Race Craft is doing R+D on the c-dales. I have his old one, it seems faster than SOME other stock ones although it has been beaten. Our YZF426 is faster but not by much. I read a post by c-dale on, I think ex-riders site, that they are commited to stepping up the pace on a new motor. From what I could read between the lines it sounds like two years away before we can buy one. A 450 with valve adjustment without dropping the motor.

Trinity is dropping a 450 sleeve into my quad, waiting on the piston and head work. New map will have to be created.

The engine that cannondale showed us back in February was a 450 project that they were working on at the time all the dealer visited there.

54HP to 56HP is what they told us they were getting at the wheel in the bike chassis.....more than the Honda450, Yamaha450, or KTM 450.

There was also a Cannibal there with this engine and they said they were still tinkering around with head modifications.

Cannondale hinted then that these engines would see production at some point.

They also hinted that not all the bikes and quads in their lineup would receive the new engine.

I look for alot of nice rides rolling out within the next 2 to 3 years.

Well, it would make sense for them to keep the older engine in a Cannibal-type model and reserve the new 450 for the Moto and Blaze machines, and perhaps the Speed, depending on how they decide to structure their line-up.

I keep hearing that Cannondale isn't even braking even on the Cannibal when selling it at MSRP... is this true?

No overall profits from the motorsports divison.

Can't say regarding the Cannibal only.

I'm sure you already know what was going to happen after the 2003 model year until an announcment two weeks ago.
