Yep, the 300cc will retail for $7000 and the 450cc for $7700. I would call and talk to the dealer and make sure that he sells them, because some dealers just do the trails only. If that is the case I'm sure another dealer would be interested in shipping it to your dealer or making some type of arrangement.

lt250r91,

Well, I'm not sure if they copied it or if it is actually built by Yamaha.

The enginecases are identical as are the cylinder and head externally. The only difference that I see is on paper. 4 valves instead of 5.

They call this a "Spanish YZ400F" but I don't know if that is a Yamaha term or a term made up by those working on the project.

Like I said....I could be dead wrong. I'm not much of a GasGas fan. [We sell KTM....LOL]

About the axle twisting. What I've seen happen is the axle cracking all the way around about a quarter of an inch deep, and when the wheel starts wobbling, the axle twists and then snaps (like over tighting a bolt). I saw that happen on a Raptor once. I seriously doubt that the GAs Gas quads put out near enough power to twist an axle apart w/o cracking the axle all the way around like I just described.

Hope that made sence.

I can't wait to get my hands on one and I definity will have a report with lots of pics . I just hope the collar bone can handle all the power.

I think I know what your saying, I haven't seen what the axles looked like and have never heard or seen one do something like that. So at least I know it can happen.

Hey Knowsalot since you sell KTM's do you know Mark Hyde? I live near him and have talked to him every now and then, also got to meet Rodney Smith a couple years ago at Mark's house. Mark has helped me work on the old Suzuki quad.

After the axle cracks, the outside half of the axle will bend where it's cracked. When that happens, instead of the wheel/tire rolling across the ground, it will kind of bounce along due to the wobbling, and it just gets progressively worse (like breaking a toothpick in half and spinning one end... the other end will flop all over the place) and the axle starts to twist more and more as that tire and outside half of the axle wobble more and more. After a little while (a very little while... it goes pretty fast) the whole half of the axle just twists apart and flies across the track. The one I saw do that shot about 20 feet straight up in the air. LOL, it was pretty cool watchin it.

Maybe that explains it a little better? These explanations sound a lot better before I type them out.

mojavekid13 & CreditGuy

Here is the website for the dealer in Dartmouth, NS: GasGas Atlantic

The price on the EC300 bike is $8395 CND and it's a little less than what the US dollar amount of the quad. So I would guess around $8600 CND for the Quad.

You might want to give them a call and your questions.
Here's all their info:

GasGas Atlantic
135 Main St., Unit#14
Dartmouth, NS
