I know the whole twist vs. thumb is a very subjective argument and I never would have bought one myself, but since the R already had one, I figured what the h*##, I might as well try it out. I am glad I did, but I also have a background in dirt and street bikes, so that probably is a large reason why I was able to get used to it. On the other hand, one of my riding buddies tried one on his 400EX and hated it and went back to the thumb after a couple of rides and he rode CRs before getting into quads. If you have already tried one and don't like it, I'm certainly not going to tell you that you are wrong, I'm just saying that in my personal experience, it really surprised me and I'm glad I gave it a shot. It is also important to note that I trail ride and will be getting into harescrambles and GNCCs. No MX for me.

I rode a 200x three wheeler once with a twist and hit a tree do to pinning the throdle on accident. I have a tendency to roll my wrist when I corner on a quad, so I think the twist will have to go. I'm going to give it a try just to see if I like it.

I've heard it's supposed to be faster.

I've got 2 sets for my c'dale. I'm hoping the bolt patterns the same. If so I'll have a set on it as soon as I get the machine.

Yamaha is changing the YZ400/new 426 to a 450 this year, so perhaps one reason is this change.

Latest News on the GasGas Quad:

My dealer just called me a hour ago do said that they are doing invoices on the machines and was told to tell his customers 3 weeks on the quad. The reason for the delay was do to them changing the front to get 1 more inch of travel(it either has 10 or 11" of travel up front now). Becuase of this Ohlins had hard time meeting the order on the new shocks, putting them 3-4 weeks behind.

So look for a review on the machine in the next 3-4 weeks.

I just got off of the gas gas web site and it only shows 3 dealers in the US. The nearest place to me is indiana according to the site. It doesn't even show the one in Ohio. Does anybody know where I could look to find a dealer in my area?
