I am thinking about trading in my 01 raptor on a speed or cannibal.I would like to know if this would be a good idea or not.I have been racing motocross on bikes for about 5 years and reacently jumped to quads but the rappy just is not getting it.I will also be trail riding and hill climbing.

The C-dale should be a great quad for you. ESPECIALLY for MX. If I were you, I would buy the Cannibal. Since you race MX, you'll probably be replacing all the parts on the Speed that give it any advantage over the Cannibal anyways, so it would probably be cheaper.

I'm not trying to take anything away from cannondale, cause they are an awesome machine, but check out my post on the Gas Gas quad in this forum. You just might be interested in it do to the price and the goodies that come on the machine.

Do it, I did and don't regret it one bit. My tranny went on my Raptor. 250r handling, better power then a fully piped Raptor. Ride one you'll see.. Get a pipe and Moto mapping and you'll be ear to ear 's

Raptor tranny probs. are a thing of the past! A stock Dale WILL NOT out run a piped Raptor!! If your gonna' MX most of the time get the Dale, if you want to hill shoot & run through the woods a Rap is hard to beat!

RaptorRyan - Not to start a flame, but me and a guy on a piped Raptor drag raced 5 times at the "Assault on Aledo" and he beat me twice, we tied once, and I beat him twice. I would say a piped Raptor and stock Dale are pretty even.

my son raced a stock cannibal for 3 months, i say stock it had moto map and 18 inch turff tamers. we raced a track a few weeks ago that was ruled by two raptors. one was not only piped but had a big bore kit too. it also had the usual mx upgrades. we beat him out of the hole two races, ran first in our heat race with him in second. then for the winners class special ran first on a speed my son ran second on the cannibal and the raptor ran third. the raptor could not hang with the cannondales on any part of the track. now remember we have a stock cannibal, stock axle width, stock a-arms. raptor had big bore, pipe, extended axle, entended a-arms, elky shocks. im sorry but not to flame anybodys quad but a raptor is just not a mx quad. if your gonna race mx get a dale.
