Got home a little early today and decided to take my GPS for a ride down the street. Got the Speed up to 69mph! I did run out of road before I ran out of top end but it had pretty much flattened out and might have only gotten a couple more mph. I guess the claims I've heard of a 80+mph top speed were a little exagerated. I demo'ed a Blaze once and it was definately a little faster. I'll have to try it again when I get around to getting a pipe and remap!

Hmm, as quick as those are I would have thought upper 70's at least or maybe low 80's... Maybe it is geared low?

A stock cannibal will go 76mph. A Moto will go 86mph. So you should be at about 83mph stock. The only difference is when you hit the rev limit in 5th gear. The cannibal has a rev limit of 10,600, the speed 11,600 and the moto 12,000 for 2003 models. If you just hit 69mph then either you were not at your rev limiter or there is something wrong with your machine.

Thats true in theory but it requires horsepower to get the the rev limiter in high gear. Using your formula I should be able to get my Chevy Astro up to about 150 in overdrive but we both know that aint gonna happen. My point was that my speed flattens out before the rev limiter in fifth gear on pavement. I've made some longer runs in the past and never got to the rev limiter. I'd be suprised to hear that anyone got their stock Speed to the maximum mph that it is theoretically capable of.

Well you should atleast be going as fast as a Cannibal... I've topped it out before down my road. It's not that hard to hit the limiter. I have a straight away right infront of my house that is about 1000 yards long and I can hit the limiter in 5th pretty easily. Let me take your speed for a quick run and I bet I'll hit the limiter here .

I hit the rev limiter on my cannibal before I got the pipe and remap pretty easily. I havn't tried since the pipe and remap, but I honestly dont think that I will have any trouble hitting the rev limiter. It hit it so quick before that I would think it should hit it even easier with an additional 9 horsepower.

Yeah I have never hit the limiter in 5th. I do know that I am at least clearing 78 mph though. Try the GPS again with some more room. I am curious to see I got my # from GPS.

hey, how much power increase did you get with the pipe and new map? are there any other performance parts that will boost the c-dale. i have heard of a gap less ring that will increase power by 2 to 3 hp. anything else and has any one tried the gap less rings?
