See, I was quoted $339 for the entire system from my dealer?? I'll find out sure tomorrow. The Blaze and Moto are under 96db still. The big stink over Cannondales in Cali had to do with the Speed and the Cannibal not having a spark arrestor I believe...

The toaster's are equipped with spark arrestors though, right. Mine has a stamp on the side that says it's spark-arrested...

Anyone in California been tested for noise levels? What pipe did you have?

 

Rocky mountain atv says they have the t4 connector pipe but THEY DON'T AND NOBODY ELSE DOES........ and the silencer is the same for every brand of 4 stroke. If you call FMF they will say they haven't made them in 4 months and they say they will not make them untill next year IF THEY DO...

 

FWIW, when I was in Hollister in July there was a fellow with an FX 400 with the Big Gun exhaust and he passed with flying colors. Now, having said that the people that they had running the tests were not exactly rocket scientists, so I would not be too overly concerned about the sound test.

Everywhere I have been the people administering the tests are the high school kids. Now I am not trying to take anything away from the younger people, but they are not exactly the most stringent when it comes to the sound tests.

 

HI, I JUST HAD MY 2002 SPEED CHECK AT HOLISTER THIS WEEKEND. THEY SAID THAT IT WAS 98 DECIBLES.

 

I will be getting my speed monday from Trinity. It was re maped and full system for $500. Now that is not a bad deal and they will be tossing it on for that price also. if you live in cali, drop your dale by and they will take care of you. just call ahead and ask for them to hold onto one 4 you. they cant keep them in stock.

 

So is the Trinity exhaust supposed to be under 96dB. I think that's what the legal limit will be? Right CRAWLR???

 

It's either 96 or 93 dB I can't remember which, I want to say 96. I think what I may do is go up there, leave the toaster on, get checked, get the sticker they give out, and then put the Big Gun back on.

I would be very surprised if they check you a second time. The sticker that they give you is good for the rest of this year and all the way through 2003. At least the ones they were giving out in July were.

 

there is 2 diffrent T4 silencers one is leagle the other isnt i have the compleat system on my speed and it was around $800 w/ tax there is a 11" silencer wich is to loud even for ATVA sanchiond races and the 14" silencer wich is totaly leagle everywhere even CA and yes it dose come w/ a spark arrestor the power increase is unbeliveable i love it all i did was regear to the stock Moto and i have no problem beating a 442ex on alky and the raptor 720 in dragraces
