Castrol Syntec in the motor and Redline ShockProof Superlight in the trans

Will probably switch to redline in the motor when I run out of Syntec.

I vary the oils depending on conditions......

Honda HP4 10W40 in the engine AND transmission during the winter.......

Honda HP4 20W50 in the engine AND transmission during the summer.....

I was using the HP4 with moly in the engine and without the moly in the transmission, but am now using without moly in both the engine and transmissions.

We have used these oils in both race quads and all 3 of the bikes since last year and have had no problems at all.

These are the same oils that Team Honda uses on their offroad teams and road race bikes.

I used to run Mobil1 15W-50 in the engine and Silkolene in the tranny. After my clutch disks broke, I spoke with a Cdale rep and he said they use Redline in the tranny and engine at the factory and love it. I will be switching to that when I can find someone around here that sells it.
