Most Memorable Race
#11
I hate to bust in on the thread without much of a story to tell, but...
That's some funny **** about one legged Jorge!!!! I had to share that story with my wife. "He would have been in the top 10 but his leg came off in a few races" was hilarious!!! I don't mean that in a mean way at all and I hope he is light hearted about it. Could you imagine being at a race and seeing a riders leg fall off or start dangling around!!! You'd probably crap your pants thinking someone had hit him and ripped it off or something!! And then he keeps on going like it barely bothers him!!! OMG!!!! I was probably as close as I've ever been to literally "RITFLMAO". That's definitely something to remember.
Not to take anything away from you at all Motorider, to ride at all without your god given feet is amazing, much less an R or a Moto, in a race!!! Hats off to you and Jorge!! That's some serious strength and determination to overcome your disabilities! You have my respect.
The only thing I have to tell is on the first lap on my first time at a track, I faced a fairly sizeable double. My suspension compressed and the bumper dug into the dirt. Needless to say, my forward momentum came to an abrupt halt! I stayed on the quad, but, with a serious surge forward. I pushed the bars on my 'dale forward about 3 inches. And yes, it did hurt! After a second of recuperating, I fired the quad back up and left a couple tire tracks all the way over the jump. That bumper grind was in the face of that jump all day.

NRATH- Jorge has a very good since of humor about his leg. Everyone at the Nationals call him One Legged Jorge. At Mt. Morris this year his leg came off in the qualifier and he was in about 4th or 5th so about 15 quads ran his leg over and it was flying all over the place. The announcer was like....uh...uh...uh..I think someones leg just got ripped off. His leg was getting thrown all over the place and you could tell some of the other racers were freaked out when they saw a leg being roosted at them.
