bubba297 So your saying that a 600lb Polaris is going to take a 686 Raptor MAN you need to post this stuff in the Yamaha forum. I think we have found our official FOUR STROKE WARS champion.. I think you would smoke your belt drive trying to drag that bike of alljuices.

I knew this one would get responses, but I'm not here to get a war started. I have been to little Sahara 4 times this year and there has been only ONE raptor that could inch by me. There was all kinds of money in that thing. Mine is geared for drag racing only and the bike still weighs 425-430lbs. You shouldnt bad mouth a full modded big bore polaris until you get spanked by one or drive one. It really doesnt matter what you ride, just ride on. Even if it's an atc 90 LOL. Bubba

Bubba is right about the Polaris. The only 4 stroke that beat me on my Pol was a DS650 Ron Woods stage 3 with a 20 hp. NOS shot. I'm going to have the opportunity to race a Trinity 686 this coming weekend and if he's not running faster than 5.1 in 300' he will be toast. With me on my Sport we are looking at 660 lbs. What I'm curious about is how the 686 will run against my 465.

Pudjumper I have never stated that the Polairis was slow but around here if it says Polaris its usually a farm quad or used for Hunting. Yep I know for a fact that Polaris are verry restricted worse than a Yamaha but genrally nobody brings them in to the shop for hop ups only for a repair. The place I ride is the dunes and their are a few crazy people who TRY to make it up the Banshee hills with a scrambler but usually it ends up not being pretty.

If your boasting about Polaris 4 stroke power you should come to fsw or to really get some people going post this in the Yamaha forum trust me you will love the respone.. [LOL]

No way would I ever start a thread on the 4-stroke Polaris's. I would be embarassed.I have owned them and a modified one has a hard time outrunning a stock 400 2-cycle. My wife's 01 Scrambler with a pipe and clutching couldnt make it up the big dunes at Little Sahara form a dead stop at the bottom. I know it takes some power to work those dunes. I was beating 2 buddies rides (a 310Honda250r and a 500 Quadzilla) from a dead stop to the top. No shifting does have an advantage sometimes. Bubba

Scrambler 500's from what I've seen are very slow. The Predator however might be a different story. Time will tell. All I know is that the 400 can be made to rip and will suprise you when when seen. Bubba how many Banshee guys come up to in disbelief after you beat them? I would say alot. This is part of what makes riding a Polaris fun.....being the underdog if you will. Enough about that. Back to the topic. I know that the Cannon's will run. In stock form I've seen Cannon's smoke alot of piped Raptors. I could only imagine how good they could run with motor mods.
