i'm trying to install the new lonestar axle on my 03' black bull. the problem is the half moon metal ring that tightens the axle up won't go back into the slot in the axle. it likes about an 1/8. i'm trying to avoid taking the do all (hammer) to it, but it is not looking good. i'm hoping i missed something and someone here will be able to tell me.

 

I had the same problem, so I left that big flat washer off and it worked out fine.
