Default Is it normal?

maybe I'm used to the yzf600r street bike that redlines at over 13000rpm, but my '03 Cannibal's redline seems low. When accelerating, it's like I'm at the rev limiter immediately when I shift into 2nd and 3rd gear, there isn't hardly any acceleration. Is this because the Cannibals rev limit is 1000rpm lower than the others?

Others may have a different opinion, but I shift WAY before the rev limiter. My 02' Cannibal begins to taper off (power wise) so I'm never spinning near 10,000 rpms for very long. Mapping from the speed, blaze, moto may make more power up there but then again they raise the limiter to 11,600 for those maps. Hope this helps.

I felt the same about my cannibal. It just accelerates and gets to the rev limiter very quick. Have it remapped and get the extra 1000 rpm's, it makes a big difference
