I love mine on the trails and it has tons of usable power with the fuel injection. Throttle response is instant. They are a little more maintenance than the average 4-stroke but it is well worth the power that you get. They would not be any more maintenance than a banshee. You will impress people and will be stopped and asked questions every time you see someone on the trail. As far as comparing it to the raptor, the c-dale is faster, handles much better, is lighter and the funest quad I have ever rode. Buy a c-dale and your uncle's raptor will see nothing but roost.

Tainted, Yes the maps are adjustable. You can go to your dealer and have them changed or you can get the basic kit to change already configured maps for $300. You can download the different factory maps from Cannondale. Custom maps are out there but nobody is just letting them out for free yet. If you want to play with the map itself theres a program from optimum that will let you do it but its expensive and I personally wouldn't play with it unless your knowledgeable with fuel injection. but the maps that are already out are doing great for everyone.
