I think I would buy a New Cannondale but there are no dealers in Southeast Indiana. I could go to RS but they are two hours away. Hey Cannondale if you are reading this take note and get more dealers in Indiana.With all the problems that people are having with them I am not going to drive two hours every week to get something fixed.

 

Alot of dealers won't sell them. I spoke with my local Yamma dealer, and they said C-Dale contacted them numerous times wanting to get them setup, but the overhead to deal was just too much. Plus, there aren't a whole lot of sport riders around here, so I'm not sure if they'd sell that great..

 

C-Dale had contacted a local quad shop dealer near me and tried to get him interested in them but he did not want to be a franchised dealer. He also told me that he did not want to have to stock parts. I can see his point but that does not do me any good as far as having a dealer near by.NOTE: Most of you motorcycle shops have dumb hours if you can not stay open until at least 7:00 pm forget it.Most people that buy these machines are blue-collar workers who have to work. Not some wealthy business person who can take off work whenever they want.

 

You wouldnt have to take it in every week.R&S I am sure knows what to do to prep a dale so you dont have to bring it back.Basics get all the updates,Do the breakin at the shop if possible,start with fully charged battery,dialectric grease on electrical connections and loctite the plastic screws.Give the dealer enough time to get this done or do it yourself.These quads are reliable and wont nickel and dime you like others brake pads last forever,bearings are all high quality,axle is strong basiclly the only thing you will have to buy are extras.

 

Well the way I look at it if these C-Dale dealers are so sure of there product and they want to get it out to the public then maybe they should offer free pick-up and delievery for one year for anything that goes wrong.That should include all updates and warranty work.Note: To all you dealers out there stay open on Sunday at least thru the winter months so people can come look at bikes. You people being open on Monday morning does not do a damn bit of good to me.The bottom line is stay open !!!!!!!!We are in a 24 hour society live with it.

Real funny 1cannanman . You kind of missed the point to a degree if they want sales keep the doors open.If they want people to see there models keep the doors open. By the way Mr.1cannaman how far from your house is your C-dale dealer or are you a dealer?

Please don't forget that these guys own businesses and if it doesn't make good business sense to have the hours they do, they won't stay open. As far as Free pick-up and deliever. Let's do some math:

Truck and trailer to haul around 30,000++++
Insurance for the year 2,000++++
Body to Drive truck Min Wage 12,358++++
Gas at 1.50 Gallon for 12,000Miles @ 12MPG 1,500+++

So for about $46,000 for the start-up they could do this. So what's 4 hours of you time worth? This is for a four hour family road trip. Gas cost and insurance.

My dealer is close to 2 hours as well and Trinity is 40 min. It's worth the drive. If you learn abuot your bike and need parts have them send them to you.

Also with more dealerships in a given area the amount of units sold is reduced per dealership reducing the overall profits of a given site. There-by reducing the chance of you getting free deliver.

Not to **** you off, but how about they give you free gas and detail it after your rides.

As far as Sunday hours, some people go to worship.

No am not a dealer, and am about 135 miles round trip.
I've had to do alot of the work maself. My dealer has helped with instruction and the Company has helped with parts when needed. I take it in on a Sat. morning and it is ready on the next Sat morning. Sometimes I will make arrangements to pick up on Friday night and ask the wife if she wants to keep me company( it costs me dinner) but it makes the trip easier. I'd drive twice that far. I do have a dealer about 20 miles from me now but I still make the longer trip because it's worth the trip!!!!

 

Smittty911 first off everything in the state of California is higher.Yes I do mean everything.No you did not **** me off but detailing my quad after every ride and filling it with gas is a great idea.I wish I would have thought about that. As far as Suday goes are Sears open on Sunday how about McDonalds and yes I think HomeDepot is also I just bought a new chainsaw from them this morning since no one else is open late in the evening.And yes the guy at HomeDepot sat in front of me at Church this morning before work.I think he was there worshiping.
