i haven't ever ridden many factory stock quads before so i cain't say for sure. is there any stock quad that will out run the cannondale? i'm not talking about top end speed which is usually about which is geared higher, i'm talking about a 150 to 200 yard drag race. maybe a ds650? or the new polaries?

 

If you are talking about current production quads, nothing will beat the C'dales!!

in short drag races there is not a stock quad that can touch the "C"

If considering all quads, would a stock Zilla out drag a stock Dale?

 

ive read quite a few post on here where people who own them say the c is quicker(not faster on the top end)in short drag races

 

I've ridden a couple of stock Quadracer 500's, and as one would expect from a 499cc 2stroke the power is awesome. Like most 2strokes, however, the power comes on so hard that you spin more than you hook up (at least with the stock tires suzuki used to use). In the end I'd say it would be close, but could go either way.

 

I had both a canibal and a Quadzilla and I would say out of the hole the c-dale would be quicker mainly from poor traction on the 500 but by third gear I would think the Zilla would pass it! I also Raced my brothers DS650 when I had my canondale and I pulled right away out of the hole. They just seem to shoot off the line. My Raptor is pretty quick but I still think out of the hole the c-dale would jump out. Some done up big bores can gain and pass them but thye are awful tough to beat right out of the hole!

<u>The Zilla has no high-end speed...</u> since it's a 5 speed. I've heard that in a drag the 250 6-speed quadracers will beat it in the end. The Zilla's will take the first 60-70 yards cuz they're 500's, but they 250's have better drag gearing.

 

No way a 250 out does a 500 on top! The 250 did 70-72 MPH the 500 Topped out at close to 80MPH Stock!
