What tool?

Default What tool?

What tool are yall using to hold the lock ring on the clutch to tighten or loosen that
8mm nut?

I bought clip plyers with changable bits but none real hold it well [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

kip said the best way to bleed your clutch was to take the line loose at the bottom. then take your master cylinder cover off. buy a large syringe from the co op store and fill it with brake fluid. insert it in the line at the bottom. fill the line with brake fluid with the syringe and it will also run into the master cylinder. this way you get all the air out.

you heard from motown. i guess he stalled again since he wont post any results from yesterday. i tried to call will's cell phone last night but only got his voice mail. later

you can get the tool from cannondale.We made one stacked two washers on a small piece of metal for a handle welded it together and started grinding till we had the two tabs.

I was under the impression that you don't run brake fluid in the clutch. I am running mineral oil and felt funny buying it at the local grocery store! JIM

That's what I was told too. Mineral oil or the KTM guys use Automatic Tranny Fliud. When I put the steel braided cable on mine I used the ATF and haven't had any problems. And that was back in June.

Also,
for the tool, I used a pair of snap ring pliers; because that was all I had at the time....but it was a pain in the ...well, you know.........JIM

I used the ring pliers and got it tight today.It must have need a clutch for awhile
this thing pulls way harder know.
