Well you need to pay more attention than First off it's as a whole, unless you where trying to be funny. Which you weren't.

I ride a Cannondale and I have had some problems with it. Am I dumping it - NO.

Lots of people in SoCal at the Glen Helen race today where on Cannondales and they took several top spots in the different division.

Check your hearing.

Nice spelling--GO BACK TO SCHOOL

Come up with something of value to contribute, or don't drag the sport down to your level.

BTW, ATV's do break. We take them out and thrash them. Do Cannondales break? Yup. Honda's? Suzuki's? Yamaha's? The answer is yes, to all of the above. Don't waste our time with " my buddy's quad broke, it sucks" or anything that resembles this. It is a waste of time and does not help anyone. We are all pretty familiar with the list of common problems with all the sport quads out there, and they all seem to have a weakness, and I for one think that to enter a forum to bash a quad you don't own is a sign of insecurity, and an admission of this insecurity. Let us know when youy have something of importance to share, and try not to make everyone think that people who participate in our sport have below average I.Q.'s.

I rode mine HARD last year. I got it in April, broke it in for an hour, and hit the Powerline Cross Country race with it...didn't have a problem with it other than 2 bashed front rims and a front tire that ressembled a porcipine.

7 races later and nearly 800 miles on the local trails, she's still running strong with a minor setback....a wire connection was loose.

1 MAJOR thing a person looking to purchase a Cannondale has to keep in mind, make sure your dealer knows the quads! I've never seen/heard of never ending major problems with Dales that came from good homes.

Cannondale isn't going anywhere but to the top of the ATV world.... They're kicking major *** in the MX scene, and gearing up for HUGE improvements to a already excellent race quad. Yes, it's easy to pick on someone that goes against the norm...but I know I'll be smiling in the end..."Cannondale 1,2,3 on the podium.

It is funny!
I fed my 1st generation Cannondale a steady diet of at least a full day a week of trail/pit/drag/mud/water for a full year in Va. NC. Fl. TN. and my favorite, AlaBAMA. I had a few minor glitches(no more than the yammies!) but the 'bull always started, never let me down. I just changed the oils, cleaned the filters every other week. I guess i'm payin a price for it now though. Even though I could still pull a stock raptor over 300', she was smokin, so i foolishly pulled the engine and had my dealer do a topend rebuild with the stud kit. Now.... on my 3rd opportunity..... i can get the engine out in 1.5 hours. Crank Bearing maybe? probably, and shaft assembly. uggh. Cannondale is going to help me with it and We will rule the dirt again!!!
I think with the 'dale you either got to have a real interest in the mechanics of the 'dale or an involved dealer/service dept. Riding the warrior again the last month has been like a return to the stone age! Rode a Z400 for 1/2 an hour yesterday, and i'm sorry 'zuk guys, it aint even close.
Whatever learning curve i've had to struggle with here lately has been well worth it. The performance is addictive and i'm going to take this opportunity to make her way better than new: Hipers, Elkas?, HMF? new plastic, I've refreshed my ball joints, tie rod ends, pivot and axle bearings already. I guess while i'm down again i'll install this 03 stock Arens stem, cycra handguards, and PRM chassis skid i've got laying here. The Foundation of the machine and company are SOLID.

Sorry to here about your problems Motorider7.

I can understand your frustration. I have had my share of problems as well and it seems to be certain runs of the LE's. I think we have got through the problems now after the frustration. We were encouraged this week end, at the end of the week end the C-dales were still going strong and some of the other bike had the break downs. 250R siezure and Z 400 clutch. I have come to understand most of the problems relating to these bikes and as I read in a different thread, someone was talking about bikes getting more complicated, I'm sure you'll see more problems arise with many of the bikes. Cannondale has had it's share of problems, but if you look at what they have undertaken they have made quite an impact on the industry. At this point there is nothing out there I'd rather ride. Sorry to hear you are unable to stick it out.

I know there hasn't been a lot of bashing in this post, and thats good, so I'm sorry if I start something now.

One thing I notice is that a lot of the C-dale owners are WAY TO UPTIGHT. Everytime someone says something bad about a C-dale, or they say they don't like them, a lot of the Dale owners resort to personal attacks. (i.e. Nice spelling--GO BACK TO SCHOOL)

I know I've made some personal attacks on people in here before but thats usually only if the person is being a major dick, or is making some of the same attacks on other people. LTZ400man was just stating his opinion and I don't see any reason for jumping on someone for something like that. Him saying C-dale should go back to making bikes is just about the same as me saying Yamaha can't make a good handling quad for MX. Those are just personal opinions and everyones intitled to them. Remember, this is the land of the free... INCLUDING Free speech.

You'll want to do a little reading before you start to draw the conclusion that someone is "uptight". Do a search on the individuals that I offered some sincere advice to, and then do one on me, you'll see that I've never been in an argument on this or any other forum and that I'm rarely, if ever sarcastic. I'm just growing weary of the posts that put down one brand of quad, when the person leaving the post owns another, probably doesn't even know someone who owns the Quad in question, and is obviously fabricating information solely for the purpose of stirring up trouble. These forums are for sharing useful info, and helping others who may benefit from knowledge that we all bring to the table here. I know I've benefited more times than I can count, from visiting this forum.

P.S. Sorry for any spelling errors if I didn't catch them.
