Default Buying a Cannondale Fri.. Please Help

Ok I decided to buy a cannondale instead of a Predator.. Not talking S@#t on the predator i actually liked it better but hate buying first year quads.. Anyways enough about me. I have three easy questions I'm hoping to get answered before I go there..

1.) Is $8000 a good price for a 03' Speed (Don't know if thats out the door or not)

2.) Anything i need to get right away??? Like computer software maps or anything???

3.) Does a pipe help the motor like they do on so many other brands?? If yes which one do you recommend??

Thank you guys so much for the help thus far.. I never thought i would be buying a cannondale 2 weeks ago but you guys made me a American made aluminum frame fuel injected believer!!

1. $ 8000 is the retail price, you should be able to do a little better
2. thats all according to what type of riding you are going to be doing.
3. yes a pipe will help, get the hmf full system

now just hang on and grinnnnnnn

1.) $8000 is the retail price of the quad. I'd try to get them do to about $7500 OTD.
2.) Since you plan on riding mx and Glamis I'd have them remap it with the moto map for free before you take it home.
3.) The Hmf is the pipe most people here choose for the cannondale do to the large HP gains. It is loud though so make sure there is no noise resrictions (sp) where you ride before getting one. Atv Addiction sells them for the best price I've found so far. ($400 for the complete system).

One question for you have you looked at the cannibal. It is the cheaper verision of the speed and if you plan on puting on aftermarket shocks and tires it would be the better way to go. Just a thought.

Wow tanks alot for the help. I have also thought alot about buying the cannibal and just upgrading it because I do plan on buying new tires and suspension. Its actually kind of hard to find anything but the 03' speed around Phoenix. Tell me is the blaze or moto worth the extra money or should I just upgrade one the way I want it?

If you like how the moto/blaze are set-up they are well worth the money, because there isn't much more you need to do to them. Markvette or Jeff @ the Quad shop would be the best people to ask about the moto or blaze. There is also a couple companies that are selling built cannibals with all the goodies that the blaze and moto have, only difference is different brand of shocks for about the same cost as the moto or blaze. The nice thing is that the shocks are valved for the riders weight. I think trinity and advanced atv are 2 companies that offer these quads. Plus they come with a different pipe system (trinity or HMF). I think Advanced ATV uses Axis shocks.

Here is their websites:
Trinity
Advanced ATV

Well I did it today. I ended up buying a 02' Cannibal. Couldn't beat that price.. They told me the other differences where the hydrulic clutch and it has ohlins for suspension.. He said this bike came from Cannondale with all the updates in place.. Know onto spending money.. Where can I order a pipe from.. The dealer said he could get me the moto pipe with a 20% discount.. Should I go for that?? Also is it worth buying the hydrulic clurtch setup??

Does anybody know of any websites or people I could contact about buying after market parts for the cannondales.. I have tried all the links around here and they really don't show anything.. I'm ready to order a pipe and a maping kit..

Thank u guys for all the help....
