GM purchased Daewoo, and is responsible for parts and service. If GM does not uphold its end of the bargain, the fed gov't will make sure it does. The problems people run into in these cases are local dealers being screwed, which is illegal, and will be reconciled in court. See articles:

Article 1

Article 2

But, parts are still readily available.

No intentions of selling my bike or closing down the website. I figure places like this forum and my site are going to be needed more than ever and I like to help out where I can. It's great the hear a bunch of you feel the same way.

Hard to say what might happen in the future, but if your looking to buy one there are some dealers running scared and deals to be had. Check Ebay.

Sorry read the articles and missed the part where GM will supply parts for the next ten years!

What was the point of this conversation, man? I'm just on this site, trying to give a little peace of mind to my fellow Dale owners, cause we're all a little bummed out. Are you just trying to be right, or what? I thought we were talking about Cannondales here.....BUT......

Here's an article that couldn't state it any more clearly. Yes...I know it's from a publication in the U.K., but I'm sure that if parts are being made in the U.K. we get them here too.

Another Stupid Daewoo Article

The point is......just because Cannondale filed chapter 11, doesn't mean that every C-Dale owner is S.O.L. There will be parts available. Enough of the gloom and doom speech. I come here to share info with other enthusiasts, not entertain dolts. I'm more than happy to talk about rides/parts/maintenance, but no more Daewoo.

I'm off it.

No doom and gloom here I even stated my Cdale dealer said parts and service are no problem. My curiosity is with this law, I searched and searched and found nothing that stated the bankruptcy law you talked about. I have heard about this law before but could not find any hard facts to back it up, I read the articles you posted looking for such information, that is all I am looking for. Not saying you are lieing or anything like that I'd just like to read more about this law. When I did the seach the only thing I could find related to the subject was the Daewoo issue that is why I brought it up.

By the way apologies for the smartaleck posting even if I am a dolt!

I'm hanging on to mine until some other manufacturer offers something with the technology that Cannondale offers. That is the only reason I will ever sell mine. I am totally pleased with the quality and performance of my Dale. I don't see the big four producing a race ready quad any time soon. I've been through a lot of machines over the years and I believe Cannondale has the best high performance quads of them all. Just because they're in financial trouble at the moment, it's too early to predict a future for them. Give it some time and then make a decision.
