i know some of you love you c-dales ..but are you really going to keep them if they sell??where are you going to get parts except for after market?what about warrenty stuff ..i dont know what kind of warrenty every one got but im sure its 6 months ...maybe some of you got the extended one...how are you going to fix the quad if it breakes...i hear that some people are blowing there motors ...now thats not to bad if c-dale fixes it but if there closed.. what do you do ..buy a new one ..is the quad worth that much to you to buy a new motor knowing that if you blow that one your S..O..L..again..so now when you go out and ride you got to baby the thing .not to cool....hopefully someone buys the motor division and keeps making c-dales..even though im not a c-dale lover ....its just another quad to go riding with .....theres someone always making fun of this quad and that quad...and mine is faster and yours dont have the cool things on it like mine ...look everyone should just be happy there are people riding with us ..doesnt matter what quad they have ...good luck to c-dale owners and hopefully you will continue to be able to ride no matter what happens...

Ok - Truth (at least in California, but it may be federal law.)
Cannondale owners need not worry. The Department of Transportation mandates and ensures that any company that files for bankrupcy provides parts for the vehicle for a minumum of ten years. After that....then sell your bike.

werrdd... Theres always going to be aftermarket parts that we can use for our quads. My warranty is already up any ways so Im keeping my beast around for a long time. I love my quad, and Im not going to baby it just cuz we dont have immediate support to fix them if they break. I do hope that someone does buy the motor division, but its not THAT neccesary..

Sand you keep believing that, Doors closed no people working no more parts! I am not saying this will happen. Just don't count on there being parts for 10 years if nobody buys them out!
A good friend of mine just bought an 03 Dale, Columbia Motorsports in CT said they are still servicing them and have no trouble getting parts!

I just bought my Cannibal yesterday. Sure if there was a quad I liked as much I may have purchesed it instead because of the money problem. I love this thing and the dealers are still recieving parts and warranty claims. Theres a 02 moto sitting in there shop right now which they just recieved the engine back from dale. As for the parts I figure there will always be someone to get them from and if there isn't the bike will be worth more money just in parts...
Just my 2 cents

Part of the bankrupcy law is that if the company is not bought and/or cannot produce their own parts, or if nobody buys them out, the federal government ensures that parts are produced, even if the contract is paid for by the goverment. That is the reason we have bankrupcy law, to make sure debtors are paid and customers are not left out to dry.
Service, however, is not guaranteed. Hope everyone can wrench on their own bikes.

Sand, Tell that to all the Deawoo car owners who cannot get parts for the cars they have bought after Deawoo went belly up! I have not seen the government step in and start producing parts.
