For starters, to us the angled paddles work the best for regular duning. Our choice is the scat trac Edges. For most people, a 20x10x10 with eight paddles, this gives you good turning and good hook up. I also would reccomend a dampener for the steering. It will take some of the jarring out. Now we have full on suspension mods on ours which is expensive but worth the money if you can afford, a arms, shocks, axles, etc. When it comes to mapping we would probably reccomend the glamis map. I have not tried but have heard works well.

Good luck on what you decide.

P.S, front tires, either the mohawks or dune runners are good.

I have a Speed with a Houser +3 long travel front end with TCS shocks that work great in the dunes for airing it out big. I would definitely get adjustable shocks for the dunes. I also have a Durablue axle that is wider then stock and it keeps the quad planted around the bowls. I installed a Graydon full pipe with a Moto Map. I tried the Blaze map and didn't care for it in the dunes. I run an 8 paddle Hauler Glider mixed paddle and they seem to work good. Sandfan is right, if you can afford the suspension package that is where to start for dune riding.
