Has anybody been there. If so how is it?

 

Dirt Trackin
just south of I-10, west of I-65.
I'm not a MXer but we've been riding out there for the last 3 months and it's a lot of fun. A real quad friendly track. No irrigation yet [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] but it's coming. They also have a dirt oval short track for cars and a cart track. There are also 20-50 miles of trails accessible from the track. The club runs the races and it is very small and inexperienced. Had the first race Saturday with only 7 quad entries, maybe 75 bikes. Nobody who could clear anything on a quad. Track admission is 10$/rider and is open every weekend, weather permitting. $20 to race. The next race is 4/5 and you can stay for the stock car race free.

There is also a new track around saraland that i haven't been to, rolling hills MX. 251-680-5914

Heard a rumor this weekend that Mark Barnett? will be building a track just north of I-10 at hwy 59(gulf shores).

 

we hope to make the next race on 4/5. josh should be ready to ride again and try out the new quad. were there any mini quads there ? they said they had a mini quad class too. i got the e-ton tore down again but it should be back together by then. trinity was suppose to ship the cylinder, piston and head out today for it. i have also added carbon fiber reeds, race pipe, clutch kit, 19x6x10 front holeshot mx tires and adapted the front shock from a suzuki to the rear of the e-ton to give it 7 inches of rear suspension travel. im anxious to get it back together and see how it runs and handles. we might see you there soon. we havent raced in about a month now and are ready to get back on the track.

 

Agh, I sure wish i could be there and meet you guys Mark! Gotta be in STLouis that weekend making some quad money [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] I didn't get over to the mini track to see who was riding, but there are usually several mini quads practicing on the weekend. well we havent even been there yet and the track already has 2 things going for it. !. its close to the house. 2. both boys can race he same day. if i get the e-ton togethe before the race date we will probably go one weekend before the race to check the track out and practice. only bad thing is they race the same 2 weekends as rock hill and it is one of our favorite tracks and is a little closer to the house. we will catch up with you one weekend though. bring that big v-force when you come,i want to check that monster out. they have one at coast cycle and it looks awesome. if all our spare money wasnt going into racing i would buy me one tomorrow. perfect old man quad, big motor, automatic and still sporty. later

 

hey mark, sorry to hear about your departure from cannondale. Morris and I haven't been racing much either lately. Between me working, morris' axle and clutch, and the weather, we can't get a break. We are going to try to make it to the track this week. the cops are getting tired of seeing me blasting by cars on side of the highway so i need to get somewhere that i can release some energy (without any fines). hope josh continues to dominate on his new toy. see ya

actually we never did get the seat cover, it was on back order for 3 months. when we lost the dale i called nac'sand told them to cancel it. where ya'll going this weekend ? just practice or to race ? we still not sure if we are going to be able to go anywhere this weekend, we are going to try to but not sure. we need some honda front tires and rims, does morris still have his stock rims that came off from his speed ? oh josh will definately be back, just waiting on my house deal to go through so we have the cash to buy him a quad and a trailer to haul all the quads. let me know where ya'll are going and we might make it this weekend. later

what track R u talking about? Monster Mountain is the only track that i know of over there. That track is bad a$$. There is a few of us here that have ran there. Oh by the way RU single???? LOL
