Feeeel Tester's Mighty POWERS!!

I just bought a new Cannondale Cannibal. Yes, I know they just filed chapter 11. Anyway, I did the one hour "break in" and during the first service the clutch was adjusted because it was "loose" (not engaging in gear until the clutch was almost fully released) . After another hour of riding the clutch was loose again. The dealership is saying I need new clutch plates. Two hours of riding, whats up?? Suggestions??

Either the clutch was never adjusted properly before you picked up your new quad (causing you to burn it up), or you need to learn how to use a clutch you don't need to slip them as much as on a 2 stroke). Without knowing how you treated your quad, it is hard to say which is the more likely cause. Good luck!

I specifically asked the dealer how to avoid this problem so I was very careful, however I assumed the clutch was adjusted correctly when it was delivered to me new. Would your best guess be that the clutch was burnt up in the first hour I rode it when the clutch was loose to begin with?
