Did anyone else catch the ABC special about Ozzie's ATV mishap? I believe they gave such quotes as the ATV's traveling over 100mph easily....stock. Jack Osborne also said the ATV Ozzie was riding goes like 150mph. It showed pictures of Ozzie on an old Suzuki kingquad or something, then it showed some banshees running around. No one wore helmets and they talked the entire time about negative ATVing. It makes me so angry to see this, but even angrier to see nothing else. At least they could show something to the public about what great family values ATVing has, and the large group of responsible riders.... I guess that doesn't get the ratings that negative publicity has though....

 

Seen part of it then shut it off. Ozzie to me is a hell of a person for the kids coming up to look up to. All I can say to bad he was on an ATV wish it could have been something different and he killed his dope addict A**

 

Wow im shocked, when it hapend one of the uk papers said ozzy was a real good rider and his quad is his favourite toy in the whole world,

its funny i was talking to a guy today and he asked me if i follow the local soccer team, i said no im into motor sport i ride quads, he started wafling some crap about them being unstable and ozzy hurting his self on one,

where TF do people get these mad ideas from??

I saw a post like this over on HL(High Lifter)and they have a link there to ABC so you can e mail them and tell them how you feel.I cant believe they actually said an atv can reach 100 to 150 mph.If they find one I want to ride it.

Interesting view point UKzilla, Being that we probably are seeing different sides from this because of our locality. Ozzie is a good guy over here also, and I like his music. but how can the UK papers say he was a good rider... He can barley utter a sentance at times, or walk straight. We all know to be a good rider it takes a clear body and mind, it isn't just sitting on the seat and going for a ride.
It doesn't suprise me he wrecked, he probably shouldn't of been on it in the first place. I know I wouldn't let ozzie on my YFZ... would you?
The press calls ATV's dangerous... just like guns, give em to a crack head or a child and someone might get hurt. Give em to responsible citizens and they are a lot of fun and very sporting.
By the way I am not trying to knock ozzie, just trying to get quads in the good eye of the critic.

if i remember correctly, i think they were quoting a close friend of ozzies who rides with him quite often, he seemed shocked that ozzy had had an accident, recond hes a dab hand on MX bikes as well, said he couldnt keep up with ozzy cos hes a realy skillfull rider,

i know what you mean tho, he is a bit of a wreck these days,(no disrespect)

 

I was pretty p*ssed when I heard about this. It's a shame how such a large news agency could get those "facts" wrong. Something is wrong with that picture.

hey fellow riders this should not surprise anybody at all i'm old enough that i remember the 60 min piece about how unstable 3wheelers were and that started a investigation from the gov. that just about ruined out sport . 60 min had a atc 185 with its tires pumped up to about 20 pounds , you could see they were way over inflated and parked it on a slight hill an the reporter pushed on the handel bars and of course over it went , i wounder how many tries it took the to get it to flip.and like some of you have said ozzy can barley stand how could he even drive strait . there just trying to exploit the myth of 4 wheelers being dangerous .and ozzy is just useing it for publicity
