Make Sure Your Voice Is Heard in Forest Management!

ARRA (Americans for Responsible Recreational Access) has consistently fought to make sure that public input is a central part of management planning for public lands and waterways. Unfortunately, Rep. Tom Udall (NM) is sponsoring an amendment to the Department of the Interior’s appropriations bill that would limit public involvement in Forest Service planning. ARRA strongly opposes this amendment because it would allow less local input and control in the planning process. We feel that public participation in each national forest’s planning procedures is essential to securing recreational access. You can help defeat this amendment and preserve your participation in the planning process by writing to your member of Congress immediately!

It is possible that the vote on this amendment will come up tomorrow so we need to make our voices heard.

Good info. The only way we are going to keep what we have is to get involved. So get involved in your state to protect what we have. Together we can all do it.

Good Luck
