Repost from Gorman Smith on the Arkansas Harescramble Series message board:
----
The Arkansas State Trails Council Meeting
The next meeting will be at the main bank in downtown Mena. The meeting will start at 10am.
This is one of the most important meetings ever. The other trail users are willing to corprate and even go so far as to help build trail and ask us for help.
The bicycle group from Fayettville needs help now. I don't know who the contact person is but Terry Eastin at teastin@lynks.com should be able to provide that information.
There is one person, a Mr. Dwayne Woltzen, of Fayettville, that is a conceited , selfish hiker. There were other hikers at the last meeting and they are very good people, willing to tolarate us at least.
The equine group is in agreement with multi-use trails. They worry about suprises by hikers and especially bicycles. Motorcycles should stop and kill their engines when meeting horses and mules.
I can't make this meeting, neither can Jim Cook, nor Jim Devereux. Someone from ATVs and motorcycles needs to be there. The more the better. Mr. and Mrs. McMillan of Mena were at the last meeeting representing atvs.
Here is your chance to get some multi-use trails

Please consider making it to this meeting, especially if you've never done anything like this before.
