what happened with the proposition New York last may

Dont discourage NY riders to register. If we stop that will give them another reason to shut us down(Not enough income for the trails, even though we dont get that much). If you ride in upstate NY, near Lowville, Croghan you can ride almost everywhere and they grume the trails.

i agree no money no land --but we have paid, millions, i had my quadracer registered for 2 yrs and i just figured its easier for them to find me, so i ditched the plate!--why the heck should the eastrn half of ny have to go 4 hrs to the west of NY just to ride when we pay the same thing -- i agree with the other guy to though--if pennsylvania is closer and and more accessable to quads i have to say-- its a tough argument,, some very good replies
Obviously i am not alone in this
whats it take and cost to register a quad in P.A

Yeh this is the guy I want in my club to get more riding areas open! He rides without a helmet (more ammo for the DNR and powers that be) even post pics of himself riding without said helmet. Rips on other peoples quads (check out Polaris and Yammi forum).

What would really send a message to New York State is if EVERYONE refused to re-register their quads this year. You have to hit them in the pocket book to get them to pay attention. I have forgotten how much $$ our reg fees put in NY's coffers but I know its in the millions.
The big problem here is organizing a no register protest. As I said, you have to get EVERYBODY on board. I personally do not have the time or expertise to organize it. Anyone out there up to it? SOMETHING has to be done or we are going to lose our riding (what there is of it) soon!

Well idk about the not paying at all.......but i know about 2 years ago, people in Lewis County and in the Tug Hill Old Forge area, they were going to have a big weekend where everyone brought 200-300$$$ in 2 $$ bills to show them the renvue that ATVers bring to there areas....i think that might show the a$$holes at Albany that this is a big sport and should conisder doing more for us. Just a thought!!
